Dr. Sreelakshmi Laxman completed her MBBS from Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, Kerala, under Calicut University in 2014, followed by her DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Lakshmi Hospital, Ernakulam, accredited by the National Board of Examinations, in 2021. She further enhanced her expertise by successfully completing MRCOG Part 3 in May 2026 and holds fellowships in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS) and Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery (DMAS) from the World Laparoscopy Hospital. She has also completed a Certificate Course in Laparoscopy from the Institute of Medical & Minimal Access Surgery Training, Mumbai.
With over six years of dedicated experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr. Sreelakshmi Laxman has undergone extensive clinical training, including 36 months of intensive residency in an exclusive Obstetrics and Gynaecology hospital, where she gained comprehensive exposure to the management of both routine and high-risk pregnancies, labour room care, and advanced gynaecological procedures. She received specialized training in abdominal, laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and vaginal surgeries and later served as Senior Resident at Guru Gobind Singh Government Hospital, Delhi.
She has worked as a Consultant Gynecologist at Varma Hospital, Tripunithura, and Welcare Hospital, Kochi, before joining Lakeshore Hospital as Consultant Gynecologist, where she currently practices. Her areas of expertise include antenatal and postnatal care, management of high-risk pregnancies, infertility evaluation and treatment, follicular monitoring, ultrasound assessment of gynecological conditions and pregnancy, as well as a wide range of minimally invasive gynaecological procedures including caesarean sections, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, vaginal hysterectomy, colposcopy, hysterosalpingography, and various minor gynaecological surgeries.
Academically inclined, Dr. Sreelakshmi Laxman completed her thesis titled “Randomized Controlled Trial Comparing Fertility Outcomes in Unexplained Infertility Following Ovulation Induction versus Expectant Management.” She has actively participated in numerous Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes and has presented clinical cases and research at various academic webinars and conferences. Fluent in English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil, she is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centred care while staying abreast of the latest advancements in women’s healthcare.
