Dr. Lekshmi Sreekumar joined the team in 2020 and is our in-house physician consultant. After completing her bachelor’s degree (M.B.B.S) from Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, she went on to complete her post-graduation in General Medicine from the prestigious Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Cochin. Serving as a base specialty, the department provides an evidence-based clinical evaluation of the patient’s condition for diagnosis and treatment. This evaluation also serves as a reference for other multi-disciplinary specialists, if the situation warrants organ-specific advanced care. She has various publications and presentations in her name; e-Poster on Anti carbamylated protein antibody in Indian population with Rheumatoid Arthritis – a better predictor of disease outcome at the World EULAR virtual congress held from 3rd – 6th June 2020. She has presented a paper on T cell lymphoma with paraneoplastic neurological manifestation – a rare presentation at 74th APICON 2019, Kochi – received APICON 2014 Original Paper Merit Award for a Poster presentation. Her article has been published in the International Medical Journal “Comparison of anti carbamylated protein antibody-positive rheumatoid arthritis from anticarbamylated protein antibody-negative rheumatoid arthritis in Indian population”.
